| Tile & Grout Cleaning & Sealing |
|
Ceramic tile is one of the most abused and overlooked floor and wall surfaces in the home simply because of the care involved in cleaning it. No one is anxious to relive the terrible memories of scrubbing each tile and grout line for hours with a small brush and using those irritating, harsh, and unsafe chemicals. Most of us would rather rearrange our sock drawer. So we wait and wait... The good news is Sunshine Cleaning Service can make short work of this task, using only earth-safe products that won't harm your family, your pets, or this world we share. Our process consists of:Pre-Inspection - We will make note of all challenging areas... determine your expectations as well as come up with a solution for each area of your home to be cleaned & sealed. Area Preparation - We will prepare the areas surrounding the tile, making sure not to disturb any carpeted or hardwood floors. At this point all furniture that will be cleaned under is moved. Dry Soil Removal - Our technicians thoroughly sweep and vacuum the entire area. As in any cleaning process, dry soil removal is one of the most important steps. Soil Suspension - We use the highest quality products. The cleaning agents used on your tile and grout is the most scientifically advanced tile & grout cleaner on the market. Cleaning - The tile & grout surfaces are scrubbed with a 150 rpm rotary scrubber with a brush head. Using a state of the art self-contained pressure cleaning system known as the SX-12 the entire floor surface is rinsed with hot water (sprayed on the floor surface at 800 pounds per square inch). The goal is to get the floor surface "super clean".
Sealing/Finishing - The type of sealer used varies depending on the tile and grout itʼs being applied to... as well as the finish appearance that you desire. Post-Inspection - Our technicians will initiate a walk through with you so we can go over the results before leaving. Maintenance - General cleaners not specifically formulated for tile or natural stone are never recommended. These can breakdown the sealer, thereby removing its protective properties and making the tile and stone grout susceptible to stains. Worse yet, many cleaning products, including those that contain lemon, vinegar, bleach or ammonia can etch away the polish, discolor the surface, or even scratch your stone. Many cleaners have what is called a chelating agent in them. This agent breaks down and dissolves minerals in hard water. Since all stone is made up of minerals, these types of cleaners will dissolve and cause streaks over prolonged use. Sunshine Cleaning Service offers the complete line of StoneTech Professional Products which we both use and recommend to our clients. |
